For some reason I don't have any trouble getting on my bike trainer and doing a spin workout between 40 and 55 minutes (as I said on a previous post just about one hour is all I can handle) without any trouble. However, to get on the treadmill I really need to have some time alone and talk myself into getting on that machine an going. I could have the best music or the best shows on TV and even then it is rough to get on. So, because today I have a choice between staying at home and riding on the trainer or going to the gym to run on the treadmill I think that the first alternative wins once more!
Just in case my Lovely wife gets the chance to check my blog while taking a break from taking care of me I just wanted to say...
So, trainer here I go. Let's see what type of workout I can do this time.
Do people out there have a variety of training videos they watch riding on the trainer? I have one from Spinervals and after watching it a few times I memorized all of the workouts so now I just do them while watching regular TV. It works for me so for, but I always wonder, should I try and get other workout videos for this time of the year on the trainer? If so, then what I should I get to help me improve and keep me interested?
We need to keep the hope that soon enough we will be outside training again. In the mean time I have to get going to catch the rants of the fools on PTI...
Thanks for reading,

As the mother-in-law, imagine how happy it made me to log on to your blog and see the lovely tribute to your wife. I also loved the picture of your family and you and your brother at Montgomery Inn.
Take care.

You guys are such a cute couple!
I just got my trainer for Christmas and I'm usually watching a movie. That's about the only thing I can stand when I'm on the treadmill. I haven't tried the cd that came with the trainer yet, maybe I will next time...I did an hour today!
Yeah, I hate the trainer and the treadmill! If I had MTV that would be my first choice. Right now, I watch a variety of videos and when the DVD gets boring, I switch to music until I'm sick of that and then switch back - that seems to help. My favorite videos of course are triathlon videos. :)
