I think I am still recovering from Saturday...

Well My friends, how crazy do you think I am?

From my previous blog you know that Saturday I ran in the Capital City Half-Marathon. The race went well for the first 10 Miles as I was keeping an even pace of just over 7 minute miles, 7:07 to be exact. I was very satisfied with that, however during the last 3.1 Miles of the course I struggled big time just trying to hold and finish. All together I managed a 1:34.53 which is outstanding!

After a brief pause to catch my breath I continued to run and I ran from downtown Columbus all the way to my house on the north part of the city for a nice round 26 Miles worth of running for the day. 3 hours and 44 minutes all together it took me... I am still fatigued from that I believe. I guess that now I understand why people don't go all the way 26 Miles while training but for my own peace of mind I needed to have the experience under my belt to see how it feels. This was a HUGE MILESTONE for me and I thrilled to be stepping into my tapering phase of the training as the marathon draws closer.

I better get some more rest... I need to keep my feet up while at work to help the recovery.

PLEASE CONSIDER helping me out on my effort of raising funds for NATT through the running of this marathon! You can DONATE through this link HERE.
